Equipment Operator (Motor Grader)
Finish to grade with the machine every civil site depends on to get it right the first time.
What you will learn
Motor grading is the most precision-dependent seat on a civil site: blade control, cross-slope, and cutting to a stake are the difference between a passed inspection and a redo. This course covers moldboard control, cutting and filling to grade, cross-slope and superelevation, scarifying and mixing, and reading a grading plan from the cab.
Because it pairs directly with reading the plan itself, most students take this alongside Site Grading Plan Reading.
Who it is for
Must be 18 or older. Prior experience on another machine (excavator, dozer, or loader) is recommended but not required.
