What you will learn

A hands-on course for new crew members and anyone moving onto a civil site for the first time. You will drill PPE, hazard identification, trench and excavation safety, utility strike avoidance, spotter and signaling basics, and emergency procedures on a live site, not just read about them.

Often taken alongside an equipment course. Not itself a standalone DOL apprenticeship occupation - this is foundational safety knowledge that underlies every equipment track above.
